Liberation philosophy, Chinese cosmopolitanism and their philosophical foundations: intercultural dialogues from a transmodern perspective.

This paper aims to present connections between the philosophical foundations and implications underlying the proposals of "Chinese Cosmopolitanism" and the Philosophy of Liberation, as presented by Shuchen Xiang and Enrique Dussel. If, in the face of the Anthropocene, the "civilizing" foundations of the modern/capitalist West have been presented in the most critical debates as sources of this multidimensional crisis, based on Dussel's proposal of Transmodernity—considered not as an idealized symmetrical multiculturalism with liberal foundations, but rather as a transversal dialogue between cultures that respond to the challenges posed by Modernity from their own perspectives—we believe that intercultural dialogue between South-South philosophical-civilizational matrices is one of the fundamental paths to confronting this same crisis and the dilemmas it produces.
